Where is the Money ?

Galatasaray Board insists to not to pay the wages of the foreign players on the squad.

Even though the Galatasaray Board chairmen Adnan Polat declared that there is no such thing like that, in the latest press conference he confessed that they were unalbe to pay them but they will pay the wages of the foreign stars as soon as possible.

Australian super-star Harry Harold Kewell and Czech Republican striker Milan Baros declared that they haven't been getting their sallary for 6 months but it is the love of Galatasaray that kept them quiet for not to object.

Executive board member of Galatasaray who is responsible for the soccer players, Haldun Ustunel, said " There is crisis everywhere, it is very normal to delay the sallaries of the players."

My opinion is that it is very rude to delay the players sallaries. People who are playing for the biggest club in Turkey, should be paid weekly and every post-match. Think that this news were published in an foreign newspaper or on an internet site. What they think about Galatasaray would be very different fron outside. Especialy the players like Harry Kewell and Milan Baros whom are known in every part of Europe and world. It would be very difficult to clear these dirty news overseas and change the foreign readers thoughts about Turkey and Galatasaray.

Aragones in the firing line

Eurp cup winner Spains coach and current Fenerbahce coach Luis Aragones is in the lion's mouth due to his lack of tactics and unsuccesful results. Last weeks home defeat just might be the end for the gaffer.

Fenerbahce attaint Turkey with their awful results in European Chapmpions League. And returned home with no glory. That really ambarressed fans and Fenerbace an objection of derision. Also Spaniard stirker Daniel Guiza which is also transferred with Luis Aragones couldn't even score a goal in last 2 months.

Aragones was transferred with big hopes confessed Fenerbahce chairmen Aziz Yıldırım. Indicating his abortive results.

Now, Fenerbahce isn't winning a game for 5 games. Also they were defeated in 3 games. The fans blame Luis Aragones and Fenerbahce board for the unsuccesful results.

"The board doesn't want to leave to club so they're planning to sack Luis Aragones" wrote the famous newspaper Fanatik.

My opinion is that Aragones shouldn't leave Fenerbahce and continue his abortive results. Because that is what will make the away teams happy.

An Extraordinary Warning from the Chairmen

Napoli FC 's President Aurelio De Laurentiis is very anxious to have their star players Ezequiel Lavezzi and Marek Hamsik snatched to the leading English clubs like Liverpool and Manchester City. He warned these star players in a very uncommon way.

" If they really want to go to England, then they should better know that English people live poor, eat bad food and women don't take a bath. It would be a pity for them."

De Laurentiis was planning to confuse his players with his words. And it worked, because while I was writing these lines, Lavezzi and Hamsik were still in Napoli.

Nihat Kahveci in Top 100

One of the Turkey's most talented soccer player Nihat Kahveci is listed as the 39th best player of the World in 2008 by the famous soccer magazine FourFourTwo.

While Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentinian talent Lionel Messi topped the list, there was only one Turk included in the Top 100 list.

Beşiktaş's former striker and currently Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)Villareal CF's forward Nihat Kahveci ranked 39th on FourFourTwo's Top 100 Best Footballers list. The Turkish international's two late goals against the Czech Republic turned Turkey's National team fate 180 degrees around in last summer's Euro 2008.

I think Nihat earned a highly deserved spot on the Top 100 Best Footballers list thanks to his consistent successful performance in La Liga (Spanish 1st Division) and ranked above world stars..
